    Hi Allison
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your JMT story! It was fantastic…. loved all the details, personalities and photos. Very inspiring.
I have done the JMT twice… no thru hikes, though. Two years ago (the same year and time as you) I went with my wife and son from Tuolumne to VVR. We were going to Florence Lake but the smoke got real bad. Last year my wife and I went from VVR to Evolution Lake and back, taking three side trips to deserted lakes (Rose Lake, Sandpiper Lake, Lake Italy). It was fantastic. This year, my son and daughter are joining us and we’re doing Florence Lake to Whitney.
Here’s a travel story about that first trip:

    All the best
