Hello Trail to Summit readers!
I just wanted to let you all know (if you’re not following me on social media) that I am alive and well and just taking a break from the blogging world.
The past few months have been very hectic and exciting for me so I’ve had to put my site on the back burner for a bit, and will be back to writing on a regular basis in the next few months. I plan to post about 1-2 times a month to keep everything balanced. So what have I been up to?
Last August I moved from Massachusetts back up to New Hampshire (a bit closer to the mountains!) just outside of Concord NH. My husband and I have been working on various projects, raising chickens, and introduced a new member to our family- Meet Ruckus!

We adopted Ruckus from Friends of Homeless Animals who do a wonderful job. She’s from the south and such a love. She’s almost 8 months old and loves the trails! She’s still growing and almost ready for her own 4000 footer list to accomplish!

Ruck’s first peak- Mount Major at 5 months!
At the end of January I also started a new career. I am now the Lead Listing Agent with The Hvizda Team at Keller Williams! I absolutely love helping people make a transition in their life, either buying a home, or selling their property. If you know anyone interested in buying or selling in NH (I mean, who wouldn’t want to live here?) I’d love to talk with them to help them reach their goals and likely talk trails as well! I have a goal of helping 10 new clients take advantage of the fall market and doing a hiker-referral-donation!
For any questions, you can shoot me an email at allisondriscoll@kw.com
“Allison was outstanding throughout the entire process of marketing and selling our home. We listened to her advice on how to prepare the house for listing, which made the entire process much easier than anticipated… We were delighted when we were given an offer much better than expected, and her professionalism and calm demeanor made the process simple and uneventful. We are confident if another agent listed our property that we wouldn’t have been as pleased as we were with Allison.” -Steve and Nancy
“…She consistently helped move the sale through in an efficient, helpful and friendly manner. Based on my experiences with several other Realtors in the area over many years, I would rate her among the best. I would highly recommend her as either a buyer’s or seller’s agent.” -Kathleen and Scott
I’ve been continuing to work with Gossamer Gear on the side, assisting with their social media. I love working closely with a company that shares the same philosophy I have on hiking and backpacking!

On top of all this, I’ve been slowly working on completing the New England Hundred Highest List, but more importantly, running a new challenge group! I started Trail to 4K, a list and support group for those looking to begin hiking or get back into it and it’s been so much more than I could have ever predicted!
I’ve noticed over the last couple of years the various hiking related Facebook groups have become more hostile, sarcastic, and overall unhelpful for newer hikers. There have been a lot of “expert hikers” who put down people who ask questions we all needed to ask at one point or another. Seeing this was pretty unnerving to me so I decided to take action. In just a few days, my challenge group had over 100 members. We’re now toppling 300!
If you’d like to join us, check it out here and then join us over on facebook. We share photos from our hiking list, ask questions, and really just support each other throughout the process! It’s quite refreshing!
That is about it for now. I am giving two talks this month- 1 is coming up very quickly 9/22 in Concord NH on lightweight hiking and backpacking. The second is on the 29th on winter hiking in Stratham NH. Register here!
Happy Trails!

So glad you’re back! I’m hoping to do a Presi Traverse next summer, so I’ll be stalking here.
